English History, Culture and Beliefs Course 3: Educating a Nation

Dinner and discussion at the home of Richard and Margaret Blake, and an opportunity to learn more about English culture, history and beliefs. This event is free, but booking in advance is essential, as it is very popular, and numbers are limited.

The topic for this culture course is “Educating a Nation” and we will be thinking about passing on culture and values (via libraries, galleries, museums, concert halls) the education system itself (Primary and secondary Schools, Colleges, Universities) and Literacy, freedoms and censorship

This event is free, but booking in advance is essential, as it is very popular, and numbers are limited to 30 people. Please book a free ticket via eventbrite. This event is not suitable for children under 10.

This event runs from 7-9pm (with a hot meal) for all other international students.  A hot meal (with vegetarian options available) is followed by puddings, and then a talk from Richard.
