Visit to Oxford

Booking for the Oxford trip opens at 9am on Saturday 14 October. Tickets cost £17.75 per person.  Places must be booked in advance on eventbrite.

Tickets for the day include return coach travel, a guided walk around some of the most important and interesting parts of Oxford with Richard Blake and a visit to the Divinity School in the world famous Bodleian Library.

Tour of Oxford
We will arrive in Oxford around 10.15am, and will be dropped in the North part of the city centre, by the Ashmolean Museum.  After a visit to the Ashmolean Museum, we will take a leisurely guided walk through the city centre with Richard Blake, pausing to stop at some of the most well-known and iconic buildings, with time to take photos.  As part of the guided walk we will visit the 15th Century Divinity School in the Bodleian Library – this splendid medieval room is the oldest teaching hall and earliest examination hall of the University.

Free Time
There will then be free time, for exploring the city, from approximately 1pm through till 4.15pm, when we will meet the coach outside the Ashmolean Museum.

Other Information
You will need to bring your own packed lunch, or bring money to buy food and drinks in Oxford.

There are two pickup points for this trip – one in Southampton and one in Winchester.

For the Southampton pickup, students must be at the Highfield Interchange, Highfield Campus by 8:30am. The coach will leave promptly at 8:45am. (Please do not be late, as the coach will not wait for anyone who is late!)

For the Winchester pickup, students must be at bus stop close to the main doors of Winchester Tesco Store, Easton Lane, SO23 7RS by 9am (from Easton Lane, please walk past the ARC car wash and tesco petrol station, towards the Tesco store, and you will see the bus stop near the Bicycle storage area.  We will email you to confirm exactly where you should meet us.

This trip is for students, postgraduates or scholars studying in Southampton or Winchester. We have a total of 43 tickets available for this trip.  If travelling with a parent, we can take children who are 11 or over (secondary school age) but there is no discount in the ticket – they will need a full price ticket.   Unfortunately, we are unable to take children 10 or under on this trip.
