for international students in Southampton and Winchester

Walk and Talk around Southampton City Centre

Join us at 2.15pm on Saturday 24 October for another opportunity to meet other students and local volunteers and find out more about Southampton on a walk around the city centre.
We will meet outside the main entrance to the SeaCity Museum, Havelock Road, SO14 7FY.  Susan from Friends International will be outside the museum to meet you. In order to comply with current guidance on social distancing, we will be walking in small groups of 4 people (2 volunteers and 2 students). We will be finished by 4pm.
If you are coming from the Highfield Campus, you can catch a unlink bus (U1, U2 or U6) and get off near/outside the civic centre (the white building with the tall clock tower) or by Watts Park.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any refreshments on the walk, but you are welcome to bring your own drink/snack with you, or you may like to try one of the city centre cafes after the walk has finished.
If you would like to book a place to join us, please email us with your name and mobile number (which we will need for the NHS test and trace record, this data will be held for 21 days) and Susan will contact you.

Our groups will be covering some of the sites on this city centre walk with plenty of buildings and sites of interest, some of them dating back many centuries, such as the historic medieval “Bargate” and others more recent, such as buildings and memorials related to the Titanic. You can find a map of key city centre sites here.
