International Women's Club (IWC)
IWC is linked to the University of Southampton, and is run by volunteers connected to the University. The International Women's Club offers:
. a social meeting place for women of all nationalities
. help with English conversation
. a friendly atmosphere and the chance to meet new people
. opportunities to learn about other countries
. information about schools, transport, health and other topics

International Women's Club meets on Wednesday from 10 to 12, at 43 University Road. These meetings are friendly, relaxed and informative. While adults attend talks and demonstrations, children can enjoy preschool activities.
In the Autumn and Spring terms, there are also informal English Conversation classes on Monday mornings, from 10.30 to 12.00, at 43 University Road. In the summer term there are coffee mornings at members' houses.
In addition, the club organises social outings and a Christmas party, when husbands, children and friends are welcome to come and join too.
IWC is mostly made up of ladies who are the wives of masters and posgraduate students, but female students are also welcome to join.

(Southampton University)
International Cafe (at Southampton University) is run by students from the University Christian Union, and welcomes people of any faith or none.
It is a place to come and meet other international and British students, make new friends, practice your English, enjoy free tea, coffee & biscuits, and learn about British culture and customs.

International Café meets on Monday evenings in term time, from 8-10pm.
From Monday 5 October, international cafe will be moving to a new venue, in the SUSU Cafe, Level 3 of the students union building on Highfield Campus. International Café has its own website:

International Cafe (at Solent University) is run by students from the University Christian Union, and welcomes people of any faith or none. It is a place to come and meet other international and British students, make new friends, practice your English, enjoy free tea, coffee & biscuits, and learn about British culture and customs.
International Café meets on Thursday evenings in term time, from 7-9pm.
