Current International students and visiting scholars are welcome to join us at any of our events. We organise a programme of events for those studying in Southampton, Winchester and Portsmouth. There are opportunities to meet local people, make friends, and learn about British culture, customs and beliefs.
As of Monday 17th May, national COVID-19 restrictions are changing to allow people to meet in groups of up to 30 outdoors, while six people or two households can meet indoors. We are therefore looking forward to being able to meet with you and introduce you to some of our local volunteers.
These Government Rules have been put in place to protect us and to save lives as we fight against COVID-19, please make sure that you follow them, you will find all of the details about the current rules on the Government website.
Friends International Conversation Cafe is held every Tuesday from 1-2pm. Each week we have a different discussion topic and time to chat with other students and local volunteers. You are also welcome to join:
SUCU iCafe is held every Monday from 7.30-8.30pm and is run by students for University of Southampton international students. (iCafe will start again on Monday 12th April 2021)
Both Conversation Cafe and iCafe include time to get to know other students and have a topic for discussion each week.
