New Forest Walk and Cream Tea

Bring a picnic lunch and join us for a walk in the beautiful New Forest. Look out for the wild ponies! We will travel to the New Forest in cars with local volunteers. After walking for about 2 hours, we will picnic near Ornamental Drive – bring food and drink with you to eat outside whilst sitting on a bench or on the grass or standing up and enjoying the views. Then we will drive to the town of Lyndhurst to visit one of the 10 tea shops for a well-deserved sit down, slice of homemade cake and a hot drink! There are some lovely little shops to visit too if you wish!

What to bring

– It might be muddy so wear boots or shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
– We will be outside for almost all the day, so please wear a warm, waterproof coat. The trip will still go ahead even if rain is forecast.
– Bring your picnic lunch, a drink AND money to buy tea and cake in the afternoon.

Where to meet

Meet at 10am at the Southampton University Pay and Display car park on University Road next to the EEE Building 32. We will bring you back to the same car park at about 4pm.

Booking essential. Please do not book a place unless you intend to come. Please book via eventbrite.  We have a total of 23 places available for this trip.
