Join us for a Day Trip to Osborne House, Isle of Wight, including ferry boat journey to the Isle of Wight and entrance to Osborne House. “It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot” said Queen Victoria of Osborne House, her palatial holiday home on the Isle of Wight.
We will enjoy the scenery as we take a journey down Southampton Water on the ferry from Southampton to East Cowes, enjoy a leisurely walk up the hill to Osborne House and enjoy the day in the house and gardens before heading back the same way.
Children (except under 5s) are welcome to join us on this trip, but must be able to cope with the mile long walk to and from Osborne House.
Please note, we will have a relaxed day visiting Osborne House and gardens, and the private beach, and will not be visiting anywhere else on the Isle of Wight.
Please be at the Red Funnel Ferry Ticket office, Town Quay, by 9.15am ready for the ferry to leave at 10am. There is a U1C bus from Highfield Interchange to take you down to the Quay. We will then catch the ferry from Town Quay and return on the ferry arriving back in Southampton at Town Quay at 6.30pm.
(16 and over) Adults – £29.15
Students (please bring ID with you) – £27.53
Children (5-15) – £16.19
There is a small private beach at Osborne House that we will visit during the day. If you want to paddle in the sea, then you may want to bring a towel (and possibly a change of clothes) with you.
You will also need to bring your bus pass or money for bus fare from Highfield Interchange to/from Town Quay (£3.70 adult day ticket and £2.80 child). The trip will still go ahead even if the weather is poor so please dress for the weather appropriately.
Food is not included in the price, there are sandwiches etc available to buy at Osborne House but you may want to bring food with you.
Please book a place via eventbrite. Booking is essential and due to the limited numbers, please let us know if you need to cancel. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07939063726.
You will be given a refund (excluding eventbrite booking fee) if you cancel your ticket before the 1st July with no refunds after this date. If you miss the ferry there is no refund and no option to wait for you as the ferry doesn’t wait for latecomers.
